The original Italian recipes were brought from Italy to Hudson by long-time resident Joe Dabruzzi. The recipes were passed through the family and made commercially available on a limited basis starting in 1981. This low level of commercial production was maintained until 1989 when the present owners purchased the business and learned the manufacturing process (and how to prepare the unique, delicious recipes) directly from the Dabruzzi family members.
In January of 1992, a major milestone was achieved by the receipt of the approval from the USDA. This allows us to sell our products wholesale throughout the entire nation.
Dabruzzi's Italian Foods, Inc. is a small family owned and operated United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) approved and inspected facility located in Hudson, Wisconsin. We make and sell handmade gourmet Italian foods. All of our products are specifically designed to provide premium homemade quality, easily prepared meals. Our products are currently sold through grocery stores and convenience stores for the home market. We also sell to restaurants (who tell their customer's they make them by hand themselves-- we LOVE this!), schools, caterers, and other businesses for the prepared food market.
